On the morning of May 14, 2024, Vice Governor Cai Chaolin of Guizhou Province led a delegation from the Guizhou Provincial People's Government to visit SCCCI. The delegation included Huang Ying, Deputy Secretary-General; Jiang Hong, Member of the CPC Leadership Group, full time vice president, Foreign Affairs Office of Guizhou Province, Guizhou Provincial People’s Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries; Linghu Shaohui, Member of the CPC Leadership Group, Deputy Director, Commerce Department of Guizhou Province; Li Fang, Member of the CPC Leadership Group, Deputy Director, Culture and Tourism Department of Guizhou Province.
President Kho extended a warm welcome to Vice Governor Cai and the delegation, and gave a brief introduction to the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
Vice Governor Cai briefed on the recent economic and social development of Guizhou Province, expressing the intention to further deepen pragmatic cooperation with Singapore in fields such as digital economy, transportation and logistics, and cultural tourism, to make new contributions to the development of China-Singapore relations.
President Kho remarked that Guizhou Province boasts a diverse economy, covering traditional sectors such as agriculture, manufacturing, and tourism, as well as emerging industries such as big data and clean energy, in which Singaporean and Southeast Asian businesses can participate in development.
The delegation's visit is conducive to strengthening exchanges and cooperation between Guizhou and SCCCI. President Kho sincerely wished for the friendship and cooperative relationship between Singapore and Guizhou to thrive and prosper.
Following the meeting, the delegation visited the Business Culture Hub.
