On May 14, 2024, the Guizhou – Singapore Promotion Conference for Economy, Trade, Culture and Tourism was held in Singapore, organized by the Guizhou Department of Commerce. Well-known liquor brands such as Maotai, Xijiu, Zhenjiu, Guotai, Guizhou Chun, Qingjiu, Yunjiu, Diaoyutai, Yelang Ancient, Daguo Gujiang, Qianjiu, Mouchi, and Lao Huizhi collectively made their appearances.
The event invited over 40 representatives including the Chinese Embassy in Singapore, the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry, the Singapore-China Business Association, Business China, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Representative Office in Singapore, Singapore Hotel Association, Singapore Food Manufacturers’ Association, and the Singapore Baijiu Association. President Kho was invited to the event.
Linghu Shaohui, Deputy Director of Commerce Department of Guizhou Province Linghu Shaohui, introduced the trade and economic situation in Guizhou to the guests, stating that Guizhou is an open province with vibrant development; a province of high-quality products; a hub province with convenient trade channels; and a province of data, boasting a strong presence in big data. He introduced the flourishing development of Guizhou and the positive trend of trade and economic cooperation from all aspects, inviting guests to explore the colourful Guizhou and enjoy its exquisite liquors.
The event not only deepened cooperation between Guizhou and Singapore in trade, culture, and tourism but also provided more business opportunities for enterprises from both sides.
