On May 15th, the newly appointed Country Head of the Singapore Branch of Bank of China, Shi Wei, visited SCCCI. Both sides engaged in in-depth discussions on strengthening cooperation in areas such as bank-enterprise collaboration, client referrals, financial support, and talent development.
President Kho Choon Keng warmly congratulated Country Head Shi on her new appointment. He noted that this year marks the 118th anniversary of SCCCI coinciding with the 88th anniversary of the establishment of the Singapore Branch of Bank of China. Over the years, both sides, deeply rooted in the local community, have accumulated profound friendship and valuable cooperative experience. He expressed hopes that under the framework of the "All Round High Quality Future Oriented Partnership" between China and Singapore, both parties will continue to strengthen unity and cooperation, contributing to the brilliance and splendor of China-Singapore relations.
Country Head Shi stated that the Singapore Branch of Bank of China has been rooted in the local community for 88 years and has maintained close cooperation with SCCCI for a long time. Given the current situation, Bank of China will fully leverage its global network advantages, as well SCCCI’s influence in Singapore and ASEAN countries, to provide comprehensive financial services for SCCCI members' trade and investment in China and around the world. She expressed anticipation for more fruitful outcomes from the cooperation between both parties.
This meeting further deepened the friendship between the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Bank of China, enhancing cooperative relationship.
